Inside Cat Disneyland, a Next-Level Catio

Drew & Jonathan and Catio Guy·Feb 3, 2026

Are you ready for a tour of the ultimate catio experience? Look no further, because Jonathan Scott and the Catio Guy, Alan Breslauer, are taking us on an exclusive tour of the ultimate catio—also known as “Cat Disneyland.” Get ready to be amazed by this one-of-a-kind outdoor cat enclosure that is sure to make all felines purr with joy.

The Catio Guy is a mastermind when it comes to creating custom catios—outdoor enclosures for cats. He has over eight years of experience and has built more than 500 catios, making him an expert in designing and constructing these unique structures. Jonathan Scott of HGTV’s “Property Brothers” is also a passionate animal lover and has his own catio that was designed by Alan. Now, they are teaming up to showcase the grandest catio of them all—“Cat Disneyland.”

Located in Camarillo, California, this catio is not your average outdoor cat enclosure. It is actually a combination of five separate catio structures and an indoor “catified” room. These structures were built by Alan for a cat sanctuary run by the owners of the nearby PerMama Cat Café. This sanctuary is home to many special needs cats who were not able to be adopted due to their disabilities.

The main structure, also known as “Cat Disneyland,” is an extra-large cat paradise featuring a variety of unique designs and structures. The first thing you’ll notice is a set of cat steps leading up to a mid-level shelf, followed by a climbing pole with a fireman’s circle. There’s also a cat ladder that leads to a floating bird cage bed, and a synthetic rope pole bridge for even more climbing fun.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there. This catio also includes a corner chimney that leads up to a massive catified room on the second story. This room is fully equipped with walls for climbing, shelves for perching and even a 10-foot climbing pole made of synthetic rope. The cats can also access this room through a cat ladder, high perch at the window, and a peekaboo bubble bed.

Elevation is an important aspect to consider when building a catio, Alan says. Cats love to be up high, and it allows for more levels and structures inside the catio. This not only makes it more fun for the cats, but also provides them with exercise and stimulates their natural instincts.

In addition to elevation, Alan also looks for locations that provide cats with sun and exposure to nature. Cats love basking in the sun, and they are able to regulate their own temperature. Plus, having trees, plants, and flowers around adds to the aesthetics of the catio and creates a more stimulating environment for the cats.

The Catio Guy is full of clever ideas when it comes to creating a fun and engaging catio for our furry friends. In addition to the structures mentioned above, this catio also features a floating pole bridge, floating steps leading to the ground, and a peekaboo bubble bed where cats can relax while keeping an eye on their surroundings.

Alan also makes sure to avoid dead ends in his designs. This allows cats to freely move around without feeling trapped or having to push through other cats which could lead to confrontation or fights.
